Curator Tour: Magic and Mess

Join Leighton House curator Hannah Lund, for a tour of the exhibition Magic and Mess: The Artist's Studio Revealed, exploring the different aspects of artists working environments in the context of Frederic Leighton’s remarkable studio home.
Featuring works by Lawrence Alma-Tadema, Paul Cézanne and Henri Matisse, placed in the heart of Frederic Leighton’s former home and studio, Magic and Mess is the final exhibition to mark the museum’s centenary, developed in collaboration with the Tavolozza Foundation and the Katrin Bellinger Collection, one of the world's leading collections dedicated to the study of artists at work.

Meet Hannah Lund
Hannah Lund, Curator of Exhibitions and Displays at Leighton House and Sambourne House, is currently focused on the future exhibition programme and the interpretation of both historic houses. She joined the museums full-time in 2018 to work on a project to rationalise the reserve collection. Between 2019 and 2022 she was responsible for developing displays and interpretation as part of the museum’s capital project Hidden Gem to National Treasure. Hannah studied History of Art at Edinburgh University, completing a Research Masters in British material culture in 2017.
