Terms & Conditions
Your commitment to us
When you confirm your purchase, you are accepting that these terms and conditions form the basis of any contract between Leighton House and Sambourne House and yourself.
It is a condition of entry that you abide by the visitor rules in these terms and conditions. Leighton House and Sambourne House reserve the right to refuse admission or to ask the ticket holder to leave the premises at any time.
Prices
Ticket prices are inclusive of any applicable taxes and there are no surcharges whatsoever. Once you have paid, we will not increase the price of your tickets.
Prices displayed on site and on-line are subject to change without notice.
Your ticket has no monetary value and is not for re-sale.
Your ticket is only valid for the date and time slot printed on its face; it is not valid for admission for any other date.
Cancelled tickets are not valid and will not be accepted on subsequent dates.
Photocopies of tickets will not be accepted.
Special ticketed events such as guided tours, lectures and talks are only valid for the date and activity shown on your ticket
Leighton House and Sambourne House reserve the right to place restrictions on the volume of tickets ordered and number of places available in relation to Health and Safety guidance and the prevention of coronavirus.
Making Payments
All major payment cards are accepted, with the exception of American Express. By placing an order and confirming payment on the website of Leighton House and Sambourne House you agree to contract with us in accordance with the terms and conditions of sale below.
Refund & Exchange Policy
Refunds
Refunds for tickets and events are only available in the event of cancellation of the event.
Events cancelled by Leighton House and Sambourne House
We'll contact you and issue a full refund.
Rescheduled Events
We'll contact you with the new date and time as soon as possible. If you cannot attend on the rescheduled date, please contact us by email at museums@rbkc.gov.uk or by phone on 020 7361 3783 and we will arrange a refund.
Exchanges
Contact us seven days before the event is scheduled and we will endeavour to accommodate your request. We will contact you with the new date and time as soon as possible.
Cancellations
Unfortunately, we cannot issue any refunds for cancellations.
Online Booking
Once purchased, online tickets may not be used in conjunction with any other offer. No ticket may be resold.
Any discounts or offers online are available for limited quantities and periods only and shall not be available on bookings made by phone or in person.
Please bring your booking reference number, present your e-ticket on your smartphone and/or confirmation email print out.
Concessions
Please bring valid proof of identity for free tickets and concessionary rates, otherwise full charges will apply.

Online Security
Your security is important to us. These pages are hosted on secure servers which encrypt all sensitive data.
Data Protection
With every purchase we only collect information that is necessary in order to process and fulfil your order. This information may include, but is not limited to, details such as your name and email address. Additional information (i.e. special needs, age range, postal address, any information you may enter onto the Website) may be collected but does not have to be given from those using our services. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Unless you opt to join our mailing list at the checkout stage, your details will only be used by us to contact you regarding your order. If you do decide to join our mailing list, you will only receive updates sent by Leighton House and Sambourne House and no third parties. If you purchase a membership or make a donation, you agree to receive communications directly from The Friends charity regarding your order. Their mailing list is managed together with Leighton House and Sambourne House staff and not shared with third parties.
Data protection for online events and recordings
Some of our online events (i.e. talks, lectures, study days, workshops) may be recorded and published on the museum's online channels, including YouTube. We may also make those recordings available to purchase via the museum's online trading platforms.
If the event is going to be recorded, you will be notified before the event and again as you join so that you have the opportunity to opt out or anonymise any personal information during the recording. By joining a recorded event you are giving your consent to be recorded. Leighton House and Sambourne House have procedures in place to minimise the risk to your privacy and to ensure recordings are managed appropriately in line with data protection legislation. You can also protect your own privacy by muting your microphone, turning your camera off, using an appropriate pseudonymous screen name or avoiding any personal information to be disclosed during the course of the event (for instance, via comments or questions in the platform’s chat, actively participating or sharing your screen).
Health and Safety
In the interests of Health and Safety, you must not:
Smoke anywhere in the museum (including cigarettes and vaping products)
Run within the museum
Block or obstruct entrance doors
Leave any children in your care unattended
Climb on any part of the collection, or fabric of the building including walls barriers and columns
Disregard safety signs or barriers put in place for public protection. Disregard fire alarms or directions for the evacuation of the museum.
