Yuletide at Sambourne House

Thursday, 11 December 2025, tours starts at 6:30pm and 7:30pm

Christmas as we know it has its roots in the Victorian era. What better way to immerse yourself in the spirit of the season than with a festive tour of Sambourne House?

Join Mrs. Reffle, the Sambourne's housekeeper, as she guides you through the seasonally decorated rooms and shares the Christmas traditions of a Victorian family. Immerse yourself in the life of the Sambourne family, with our new soundscape experience in their dining room.

Sambourne House is the former home of Victorian illustrator and photographer Linley Sambourne, his wife Marion and their children Maud and Roy. With eclectic interiors remaining practically intact, it is a fine example of the era’s fashionable aesthetic and ‘House Beautiful’ style. The evening includes festive refreshments and a introductory film.
