An evening of music for flute and piano, kindly supported by Making Music’s Philip & Dorothy Green Young Artists scheme. 

 

 

Named in Classic FM’s '30 under 30', Daniel Shao is a British-Chinese flautist acclaimed for 'virtuosity, charm, and charisma in abundance' (The Telegraph). His many awards include 1st prizes at the Royal Over-Seas League Wind Competition, British Flute Society Young Artist, Oxford Philharmonic Concerto Competition, and he was a BBC Young Musician Finalist. His programme, with renowned pianist Simon Callaghan (‘velvet-gloved pianism of ravishing sensitivity’ - The Strad), brings together music written for, or arranged for, flute and piano from the 18th century to the present day.
