Drink and Draw: Abundance and Form

Wednesday 15 July 2026, 7pm - 9pm; doors open at 6:30pm

Join us for a fun evening of life drawing with 2B Or Not 2B Collective at the beautiful, historic Leighton House where you can approach drawing and appreciate the human figure in an informal and relaxed setting.

Inspired by the lush, sensory details of Frederic Leighton's A Girl with a Basket of Fruits (Eucharis) c.1862-3, this class takes its cue from the vivid textures and organic symmetry found in Leighton’s still life and decorative works. We will use the concept of "The Fruit Basket" as a metaphor for abundance, health, and the richness of the human form.

In this class, the model will be posed amidst a curated arrangement of botanical elements and props that mirror the vibrant colours of the painting. Participants will be encouraged to explore the curves of the body as they relate to the organic shapes of nature.
