Young People: Beginners Arabic calligraphy

Learn the beauty of the Arabic alphabet and explore the art of calligraphy with art teacher, Lucy Khanam. This beginner-friendly workshop will introduce participants to the fundamentals of Arabic calligraphy, guiding them through the process of forming letters and crafting their names in Arabic. 

 

Lucy is a London based freelance artist, calligrapher and lettering artist specialising in Modern Calligraphy, teaching the beautiful art of hand lettering using dip pen and ink technique.

 

Useful information:

  • This is a drop off workshop suitable for unaccompanied young people aged 11-16yrs.
  • All workshops take place in the  Learning Centre at Leighton House.
  • All materials provided.
  • Entry to the museum and exhibition is included for young people joining the workshop. Adults can enjoy the garden and Drawings Gallery for free, or visit the café, but will need to buy an admission ticket if they wish to visit the historic house.
