Nicole Line: Silk Screen Printing
Wednesday 3 July 2024, 10am - 3pm
A practical, hands-on workshop with multidisciplinary artist Nicole Line. Participants will draw designs and make paper stencils taking inspiration from their own project ideas or from the beautiful prints and textiles of Leighton House. Using water-based textile screen printing inks, they will produce layered designs and repeat patterns, with a transparent and opaque colour palette.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have a collection of A5-A3 screen printed fabric samples to take away, as well as a greater understanding of the process, equipment and materials needed to continue the practice at home

- All levels of ability and experience are welcome.
- The workshop will take place in the dedicated Learning Centre at Leighton House.
- After the workshop, participants will also have access to the museum and historic house.

Meet Nicole Line
Nicole Line is a multidisciplinary artist and textiles lecturer based in London. She teaches mixed media textiles such as screen printing, heat press printing (flock, foil, sublimation, fuse) and experimental drawing. Some of Nicole’s clients include Nike, The Fashion & Textile Museum, V&A, Accumulate, Somerset House and Felthum Young Offenders Prison. Nicole is also course leader for the Integrated Foundation Course at University for the Creative Arts, Epsom where she specialises in experimental fashion & textiles.
